I'm totally hooked on this show called "Fight Quest" on Discovery. It's crazy. These two guys go around the world learning new fighting styles from different countries/cultures. It's a great show if you like to see a diversity of fighting (and self-defense) styles.
The episode from Israel was completely OUT OF CONTROL. Krav Maga is seriously one of the toughest fighting styles I've ever witnessed.

Pitchers and catchers report to Surprise Arizona 15 hours from the time I'm typing this. Let the resurrection of my favorite dead franchise begin...
Well...now that the NFL season is over and we can put the Patriots bid for a perfect season away, we can now look forward to the boys of summer bringing the "talking man's sport" back to the forefront.
I must admit...I'm excited for the Royals season this year. They have a great general manager now...and what seems like a legit manager. While I don't see anything higher than 3rd place, I DO think this will be the corner-turn year.
Which brings me to my latest temptation. I'm really eyeing xm radios right now. An XM radio subscription (while I hate the idea of paying for radio) would get me about every MLB radio broadcast anywhere in the USA. Very tempting...
So...with the writer's strike, nothing too good is on the tube these days. So...I'm doing some work...the wife is watching a little movie from the 70's called "Love Story".
Neither of us have seen it before. I'm not even watching it...just hear bits of dialogue from time to time. And by my best estimation...this is a HORRIBLE movie...just TERRIBLE dialogue. And that music...arghhghghghghg.
The previous management of this site is now replaced with the management it replaced...unless she gets motivated to take it back again.
Well...we had our annual weather freak-out in Tejas. Geeze...people ought to be required to live in the north for at least two years of their life to ensure safe driving for the rest of us. I blame it all on our anchor-people on the local news. They get as excited as a puppy on new carpet. They can't contain themselves...they whip the population into such a frenzy that people drive scared.
Anyway...we enjoyed the snow day and everyone had a good time outside...until Aidan started throwing a fit due to cold. Then, I introduced Raegan to a tradition I've kept since my days in Mt. Vernon--playing video games on snow days. Special thanks to Gene Adam. ![]()
I can hardly believe it...but the unlikely happened this past weekend. Every last thing that needed to happen for the Chiefs to make the playoffs happened. It was surreal. Can't wait 'til Saturday.
We don't get to KC very often, let alone on a weekend during football season. Well...we were in KC for the week of Thanksgiving and the Chiefs happened to be playing on a Thanksgiving night instead of the weekend. Due to Steph's parents' birthday gift, we were able to grab some tickets on ebay before the game.
It was Steph's firt Arrowhead experience and my first with a legit ticket (dad always got us in free by flashing his badge). Anyway, it was an incredible experience...very loud...and the Chiefs won over the Donkeys. Good stuff.
